Connect an MCP client

Use Node.js 22+ and an MCP client that can launch a local process.

  1. Create a read-only token in API & agent connections.
  2. Download the local MCP bridge from that page and save sailsync-mcp.cjs in a stable location.
  3. Add it to your client:
json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sailsync": {
      "command": "node",
      "args": ["/absolute/path/sailsync-mcp.cjs"]
    }
  }
}
  1. Set SAILSYNC_API_TOKEN in the process environment through the client’s secret settings, then reconnect. Keep credentials out of shared configuration files.

Try it

Read my SailSync account, list my sessions and show the tracks in a session I choose. Use read-only tools.

The tool sequence is getSailSyncAccount → listOwnedSailSyncSessions → getOwnedSailSyncSession. Try the agent recipes next.

Download a fresh bridge after tool updates; it does not update itself. Operation IDs in the reference are the MCP tool names.

The default API is https://www.sailsync.io. Hosted MCP/OAuth is not available yet.
